Family Court Cases
Family Court is a court of limited jurisdiction where parties deal with questions such as child support, custody, visitation, parenting, parentage (deciding whether someone is a parent of a child or not), and orders of protection. Family Courts also deal with issues having to do with the abuse and neglect of children. Orders pertaining to asset division or divorce are not addressed in Family court.
